dYdX’s public testnet is live and producing blocks (https://testnet.mintscan.io/dydx-testnet) and will be available to the public on July 5. They will launch with BTC and ETH markets but anticipate more over time.
This testnet includes a larger number of validators (40+) and will be the first time for users to get a feel for dYdX as a standalone appchain using the Cosmos stack. The public testnet is ahead of schedule, and if all goes well we could see the mainnet for dYdX v4 before year-end.
