On Tuesday at 8pm GMT+8, Tencent put on its annual Spark showcase, where it highlighted a bunch of new games the tech giant is involved with.
I watched the 4hr stream on WeChat, and although there was no talk about Web3, I wanted to highlight some of my standout picks and share some key takeaways that I believe apply to all game businesses, including those leveraging blockchain technology.

The Games:
Out of the 39 trailers shown throughout the stream, 25 were directly involved with Tencent. This included 7 internally developed games, 13 games published by Tencent, and 5 games that had received investment from Tencent.
