Cosmos Hub releases its v12 upgrade: https://github.com/cosmos/gaia/releases/tag/v12.0.0-rc0 This is a notable one because it includes the Liquid Staking Module. In short, the LSM will allow staked ATOM to be liquid staked instantly instead of having to go through the 21 day unbonding period first. This unbonding period has been a hinderance to LST adoption as stakers forgo 21 days of yield in order to mint LSTs.
Upon implementation (soon? see screenshot below) we can expect another wave of LST minting by the LST protocols. While the LSM limits LSTs to 25% of total staked ATOM they are well below this threshold now (~1%).
