There’s a chicken and egg problem with the Jito validator where searchers don’t want to change their code if only a small portion of validators are running Jito and validators may not want to run it if no searchers are using it. Recent developments here imply progress is being made after a few months of no MEV (Jito open-sourced at the end of October).
