MagicBlock, instead of building a general purpose rollup, is extending execution using ephemeral rollups. It is taking advantage of unique account structure of Solana – executable and non-executable accounts and PDAs (Programmatically derived addresses). Using PDAs, the execution for accounts can be delegated to an Ephemeral rollup which could have its own customised block production time, gasless trasactions.
