Introducing Move-To-Earn
STEPN is one of the first apps to break into the mainstream by gamifying lifestyle. Or in this instance — steps. The “Move-to-Earn” lifestyle app rewards holders of STEPN NFT sneakers with their native token, Green Satoshi Token (GST), as they walk, jog, or run. STEPN has grown significantly since its public beta launch on Dec 20, 2021, with the team reporting up to 300K Daily Active Users (DAUs).
To participate, users must download the “STEPN” app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Furthermore, STEPN is an invite-only app. An activation code is required to sign-up, which can be earned from joining their Telegram or Discord – 1000 activation codes are issued per day. Users with extra codes can share with other new players.
Users of the app will first need to purchase a STEPN NFT sneaker. Each pair of sneakers has a set of traits: rarity, stats, and energy, that affect the user’s earning power. These sneakers can only be purchased within the in-app marketplace. Users are required to have a Solana wallet within the app before they can transfer SOL, GMT, or GST in or out of the app. Each user will have a set amount of energy depending on the number (and rarity) of sneakers they own.
